SATYAM PAPER & INTERVIEW - 24 JUL 2006 - GUNTUR

Hai Friends

I am Nagapavan Bandarupalli from RVR&JC College of Engineering, Guntur. I am happy to say selected in satyam through campus recuritment which was held on july24th. On that day nearly 3000 students from 26 engineering colleges are attended mainly Guntur, Prakasam, Krishna districts engineering colleges are covered. In that 3000 candidates 231 are finally selected.

The selection processs are here as follows.they are  3 steps
1. Written exam
2. Group discussion
3. Technical+hr

Written Exam:

In this there are only 15 questions are there. there are easy to see but hard to do.by seeing the paper we can put directly 5-6 questions. remaining questions will take time to do.nearly 10 questions will be do.
the cutt off will be 8-10.it varies up on the situation.but in satyam there will be a negative marks. for every correct answer 1mark for every wrong answer .25mark reduced

The questions will be mostly from R.S.AGGARWAL. BUT it will be in depth. The main topics to do for satyam written from R.S.AGGARWAL IS
1. promblems on numbers &ages
2. simplification
3. percentage
4. profit&loss
5. partnership
6. time &work & distance
7. problems on trains
8. interests & calender &odd man out

but in our written test the questions came from
1. problems on trains
2. 2distance
3. 2discount problems
4. pick odd one out
5. pick out wrong sequence
6. problem on work
7. mixtures
remaining questions I dont know

After selected in written test the second day is GD
GD topics are MAINLY

1. Role of it in indian economy
2. Sports
3. Role of media
4. Brain-drain like that so on..........

I got role of it in indian economy. In our batch contains 10 members. First my friend will be intiated and I started at third place and I talk up to 1minute with strong points. All supported my points. It went on like that 10minutes. After that the Satyam person told to conclude the topic . I concluded the topic finally in  less than one minute. Finally 5 outof 10 were selected. Luckily I also get selected in that and finally tech+hr

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW + HR

For me interview is scheduled at 10:40 in morning.I went to inside at 11:00am. Satyam worker received me & gave shakehand to me.

Satyam: first he asked about my mail id
I written it as nagapavan_837@yahoo.co.in.

I: I replied its my college regd no sir,I can remember throught my life. so he gets impressed with that.

Satyam: he asked about my family background
I: I explained it clearly without any breaks in one minute.

Satyam: he asked me anout which languages I know
I: I replied c,c++,dbms

Satyam: he asked me nearly 10 questions in that

I: I replied only 8 out of 10. remaining I dont know
they all are basics such as

difference b/n rdbms & dbms
primary key
foreign key
candidate key
and differences among them
one simple query
functions
some logical questions on dbms

Satyam: rate ur self in 0-5 scale in c,c++,oracle
I: I rated in c as 3 because I know only basics I dont know the real time experience in C. when I am in real time I know more. I explained like that. he get impressed with that
in C++ I rated as 4.
Satyam: are u sure
I: yeah, I am sure

Satyam: shall I ask questions
I: u ask any where.

In DBMS I rated as 2. because I know only oracle 8i. and now still to learn 9i, 10i, 11i, 10g. Now 10g is going on sir, he get impressed with that

Satyam: which languages u know
I: Telugu, English

Satyam: why gd is there
I: in my resume I written I participated gds & debates in my school&college days.so he asks on that I replied it as it is not  A  selection round sir, its a elimination round sir, in that we can know the communication skills, leadership qualities so on I can explain it about 5minutes.

Satyam: do u have any brothers & sisters
I: I replied

Satyam: he asks me do u know any one in satyam
I: I explained about my brother

Satyam: will u write 2yrs bond
I: I will write 2yrs bond

Satyam: will u work at any place
I: I am ready to work at any place

Finally, he says thank u to me. It went on for 20minutes.
