SATYAM PAPER & INTERVIEW - 28 APR 2007 - MATHURA
Rated : +1 , -0

Hi Cheatanasities,

My name is Pranjal Paliwal. Currently I am pursuing b.tech in mechanical  engineering (6th sem) FROM HINDUSTAN COLLEGE OF SCIENCE &  TECH. I went through the Satyam recruitment  process recently on 28th April at my clg Hindustan college of science and  technology (Mathura)  which is my college. By God's grace, I was able to make through the final list  and now I am a proud to be Satyammate.

Friends this is my 5th company  previously I am able to crack infy, l&t infotech, tcs but failed at hr. Therefore  I only suggest you that believe in Yourself, because a +ve attitude is  driving force for any recrt. Process   and believe it will also help you till hr section

This website helped me a lot to get through the process and I think, I would be  glad if I can contribute a bit from my side too. There was pool campus in which  around 1200 candidates 4rm 12 college appeared…..out of which 236 were selected  for the second round. And finally 82

 Aptitude section:

As u all of know that Satyam aptitude paper  consists of 15 question and duration is 30 min, the cut off is usually 7, remember  there is negative marking so do not try to attempt all question. apti section  is damn  easy. I am sure that a person  with basic knowledge can easily get through

Most of the questions were solvable if one has done Quantitative Aptitude by  R.S.Agarwal. Make sure, you attempt only those questions which are you damn  sure of. Don make too many blind guesses. Usually, the cutoff ranges between 6  to 8, and attempting 7-9 questions with full confidence will get you in.

Here are some of the question s that are  asked:

1.      what is the day of  16th july 1776. ans. Tuesday go through rs aggrawal calendar 4r that

2.      5,10,15,7,14,_,8,16,24  ans.21

3.      compound interest  problem like what is ci on 7500 at 4% for 2 year. Ans . 612

4.      data interpretation  problem

5.       data sufficiency problem like

what is the area of  triangle

1.      sum of two sides are  given

2.      perimeter is given

ans. 1 and 2nd  both are required to give a ans

6.a paragraph  regarding food adulteration and quality management is given easy to derive  conclusion

 7. triangle puzzle

           ?
     394  506
   172 218  284
 74  94  120   160               ans:904

sol: simple just add the two nos. below any no. and add another 4 to them u  will get the upper no.
 (74+94+4=172, 94+120+4=218, 120+160+4=284, 172+218+4=394, 218+284+4=506)so ans  is 394+506+4=904

 8. 5 men do work in H hours ,then m men do that in what time?

Ans.  5h/m since men and hours are inversely  proportional 5:m=?/h=5h/m

 9. an average question is given regarding the age of 5 person in a family  is 7 and now 2 duo childrens are born and  average remains unchanged

then what is age of  children?

That’s what I remember in apti section

Group   Discussion  round
All the 236 candidates were called for GD and PI round. The GD is called not as  Group Discussion but Group Dynamics round in Satyam. I hope that tells us, as  to what we are supposed to do in that round. The point is not only to speak  good on a topic or good communication skills. They count as well as how you  behave in the group, giving others a chance, encouraging others, making a space  for yourself, emerging as a leader yet being a part of the group. my gd begins  at 4.00 pm
GD's were conducted in groups of 10, and lasted for 10 minutes on an average.

Following are some tips to crack gd:

1.      do pre placement  talk with the guys u are going in gd. it helps to feel comfortable with them

2.       there is wide rumors  that try to initiate ya it helps only 4r   those  who have good contents to  start

3.       I prefer to start at  3rd or 4th position because at that time u have good  points

4.       try to give chance  to everyone

5.       don’t create fish  market

my gd topic is “How can we control child  labour”?

I have given strong points like removing  illiteracy, providing education at primary as well as higher, ngo and govt come  forward

The person who appreciate my ideas also get selected  so never condemn ideas, they are looking for a person having leadership  qualities

At the end try to give conclusion

at 6:00 pm gd results are out, we are  informed to gather at media hall to fill forms “please note that u have only  1 year gap Because around 38 peoples are rejected just 4 that” so please  confirm all terms and condition Because it is too harassing to be eliminated at  that time. I filled form too early therefore my interview call at 3rd  number My hr person is very cool

Interviewer: that’s what I want to know from  u. thank u pranjal, best of luck?

Me: thanks
Surprisingly, my interview lasted too long abt 15 min. but I was sure that I  would be in.

Result of satyam rec test announced on 4th  may   total 82 peoples are selected (from my college  there were 23)

I feel very happy to see my name in the list

I dedicate my victory to my parents, sister, friends  especially neeraj and shiv, who r always with me in my hard days and last but  not the least this site which provide me to collect all valuable material.

So frnds the moral of story is that don’t lose hope, believe in urself,  maintain a positive outlook
