Hello Aspiring Engineer !

Am Oswin Louis and the Recruitment Process of Wipro(August 28th 2011) is as follows...

STAGE 1:

APTITUDE : Around 1k Students have attended of which 150 - 200 cleared

Aptitude test in total consisted of 50 MCQs and was divided into THREE categories namely...

1.VERBAL ABILITY(20)
2,LOGICAL REASONING And QUANTS(20)
3.TECHNICAL TEST(10)

TIME LIMIT : 60 Mins

1. Verbal Ability :

Dont Panic ! U can score a lot and very easily. Keep track of time.
There were questions on
Active n passive voice
Synonyms
Antonyms
Analogy
Passage (Do NOT go for passage until u have lot of time left)
Fill in the blanks
Choose the correct statement


2.Logical Reasoning And Quants:

Surprisingly this was easy too.Just go through the following topics

LOGICAL :

Series completion
Analogy
Coding Decoding
Puzzle Test
Direction Sense Test
Blood relation
Data Sufficiency

QUANTS:

Solving Equations
Percentages
Problem on Ages
Profit and loss
Clocks and time


3 Technical Test :

Technical test was the easiest !

Basic C ,C++ ,Linux and Database questions were asked.Just be good with the basics and i am sure u will easily clear.


NOTE : Aptitude had  "SECTIONAL CUT-OFF" i.e  the candidate must get minimum of 10,10 and 5 in Verbal,Logical and Technical to clear the aptitude test.


STAGE 2:

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW : Out of 150-200,around 60 cleared the technical round.

In technical round all that the interviewer looks for is a positive attitude in which you answer the question.

Be strong with the concepts used in ur MINI PROJECT and MAIN PROJECT since majority of the questions will be asked from that.

Also be good with Database queries.

If you are not technically sound Dont worry...If u have good communication skills it would cover up.

Sit straight , Be confident  have a smiling face(DO NOT OVER SMILE).

My Technical interview was only for 15mins since my answers to all his questions were definitions with REAL TIME examples and the interviewer was well pleased.


STAGE 3 :

Voice Test:

Just relax !! They will check your thought process and the flow of speech.Almost every one cleared the round

Simple questions such as "Tell me somthng about yourself" or "Your College life" will be asked.


STAGE 4 :

Essay wiriting : This was for formality...None got rejected.

STAGE 5 :

HR Interview :Out of 60  Around 10- 15 got knocked out in this round

This is the last stage ! This is similar to that of "Voice Test" but here you need to answer in a very positive fashion.

Suppose the Hr asks you : " Are u willing to shift to any other place?"
let your Ans  be : "yes mam"
HR :can u work in team?
Ans : yea mam i can and quote few personal experiences where u were involved in a team. Questions like that will be asked to check your stability

DO NOT TAKE THIS ROUND EASILY since few candidates were rejected.
But having said that once u reach this round ur 99.9% selected !!



It took 15 WORKING days to get my result and by Godz grace i got SELECTED !
